Join us for our annual Sakura Matsuri (Cherry Blossom Celebration) with tea ceremonies, martial arts, bonsai, music, and more! In addition to the schedule below, you will be able to enjoy a day in the Friendship Garden - so bring a picnic! All proceeds go to the non-profit Friends of Shoseian to continue providing family-friendly, cultural events!

The Celebration and Garden admission are free. Tea Ceremonies require reservation, which can be purchased here. We look forward to seeing you in the Friendship Garden!

10:00-10:45am: Urasenke Tea Ceremony - 1st Seating by Nakada Shachu
11:00am-11:30am: Katori Shinto Ryu “Old School” Martial Arts Demonstration by Masashi Odate
11:30am-12:15pm: Urasenke Tea Ceremony - 2nd Seating by Nakada Shachu
12:30p-1:00pm: Obon Dance & Music performance by Shinichi Hirokawa
1:00-1:45pm: Urasenke Tea Ceremony - 3rd Seating by Nakada Shachu
1:45pm-2:00pm: Japanese Music by Dj “Yui Sensational”

RSVP by March 10th for the Tea Ceremonies! Seating is limited with social distancing and masks inside the Teahouse required. Depending upon covid circumstances, Tea Ceremonies may change for health and safety best practices. All ticket holders will be notified should a change occur.
